Strategic and Operational Goals
The Deanship of the College of Nursing seeks to transition from a "Traditional Education" model to a
"Knowledge-Producing and Field-Impactful Nursing Institution" model. The goal is not merely to
graduate students, but to create a tangible impact on the quality of the Iraqi healthcare system.
I. Philosophy
The College of Nursing stems from a deep belief that nursing is not just a service profession; it is a
knowledge-based, humanitarian, and clinical system where medical sciences integrate with ethical
values and applied skills. The philosophy is based on:
1. Scientific Competence: Building nurses with a solid and rigorous knowledge base.
2. Professional Practice: Preparing field practitioners capable of navigating the complexities of the
Iraqi health reality.
3. Humanitarian Values: Promoting compassion, integrity, and respect for human dignity in
healthcare.

To be a leading educational institution nationally and an influential one regionally, preparing nursing
cadres who possess scientific and technical excellence, and who contribute effectively to improving the
quality of health services and enhancing health security in Iraq.

The College of Nursing is committed to preparing scientifically and professionally qualified graduates
capable of providing safe and effective healthcare. This is achieved through an advanced educational
environment, high-quality field training programs, and strategic partnerships with the healthcare sector,
contributing to community service and sustainable health development.

تنطلق كلية التمريض من إيمان عميق بأن التمريض، ليس مجرد مهنة خدمية، بل هو منظومة معرفية–إنسانية–ميدانية تكامل فيها العلوم الطبية، مع القيم األخالقية والمهارات التطبيقية. وترتكز فلسفة الكلية على ما يأتي: -1 بناء ممرض كفوء علمياً يمتلك قاعدة معرفية رصينة. -2 عداد ممارس ميداني محترف قادر على التعامل مع الواقع الصحي العراقي بتعقيداته. -3 تعزيز القيم اإلنسانية في الرعاية الصحية )الرحمة، األمانة، احترام الكرامة الانسانية
