Program to Reduce the Use of Paper and Plastic on Campus

  1.  Al-Esraa University strongly encourages the use of paperless systems in the workplace. Methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are decreased by recycling paper.
  2. Reusable paper solutions for the back office, such as using two sides of paper, printing two notes on a page rather than one, double-checking your data before printing, and using an online system in place of paper.
  3. In an effort to limit the usage of copious amounts of paper, we recently converted about 30% of our tests and evaluations to digital paperless exams.
  4. Al-Esraa University recently distributed paper bags to campus stores and bookshops to replace plastic bags.
  5. Al-Esraa University is now utilizing the e-archiving technology in an effort to use less paper.
  6. Al-Esraa University constantly promotes the use of paper bags in place of plastic ones, when appropriate.
  7. Al-Esraa University recently used a new method to decrease the use of paper by software programs, i.e., the hardcopy of communications between the department and units were replaced by electronic communications to be preserved in the headquarters computers and hard discs. Additionally, new student registration is now conducted online.
  8. To increase the use of paper bags in place of plastic bags, we have run various initiatives. Although our strategy aims to achieve a paperless university, we still believe that using paper bags is more preferable to using plastic bags.
