Waste Mangament Policy For AL-Esraa University

Al-Esraa University is continuing to solidify its stance on sustainability in the direction of a sustainable campus. The management of trash produced by campus facilities should be governed by a policy because it is a crucial step towards sustainable growth. To achieve a waste-free campus, this policy consists of a number of essentials that employees and students must adhere to.

FUNDEMENTAL ONE: WASTE RECYCLING:

For effective trash segregation, increase the number of recycling bins.

• Raising awareness of the value of garbage recycling among employees and students.

• Giving departments that are waste-free incentives.

• In order to attain a waste-free campus, a contract should be made with a recycling facility nearby to recycle the garbage generated by the college.

FUNDEMENTAL TWO: REDUCTION OF PAPER USE:

• Cutting in half the size of official correspondence. Instead of the customary A4, an A5 paper size was used. The quantity of paper will be cut in half as a result.

• By 2025, the college's formal and casual correspondence as well as its archives will be conducted entirely digitally.

• Using recycled paper. This kind of paper has a lower overall environmental impact and a lower carbon footprint than conventional paper. There are primarily two types of green paper. Recycled paper comes first. The second is paper that is FSC Certified.

• Eliminating the usage of any plastic materials in any campus facilities.

FUNDEMENTAL THREE: PLASTIC USAGE REDUCTION AND COMPOST:

• Replacing plastic bags with recycled paper bags in all eateries and retail establishments.

• Food trash should be composted and utilized as fertilizer to replenish the campus's green spaces.

FUNDEMENTAL 4: WASTE MANAGEMENT RESEARCH

• Increasing the amount of studies that discuss recycling garbage.
