Water Efficient Appliances Usage

Description

The Al-Esraa University makes great use of water-saving appliances. These gadgets include drip watering systems for the exterior green spaces as well as ingenious faucets in the restrooms. By using these water-saving gadgets, water waste has been cut in half. The information on these appliances is provided below.

1. WATER ENERGY FLUSH BAINS

Flushing basins were transformed into effective flushing basins in addition to motion-censored faucets. Less than 2 liters of water are needed to flush these water-saving basins fully.

2. LOW-FLOW SHOWER HEADS AND SMALL-FLOW NOZZLES

The engineering department is replacing the hoses in the restrooms with more effective shut-off nozzles to conserve water. Low-flow shower heads have been installed in every shower unit at the University in an effort to reduce water usage.

3. SPRINKLER IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

Year after year, Al-Esraa University is expanding in its total area as well as its external green areas. Green areas are important to any campus as they are known for their pleasant to the eye scenery, stress relief, and for their positive environmental impact. Expanding these green areas require increased amounts of water for their irrigation. Therefore, not only drought tolerant vegetation has been used extensively in these areas, but also modern irrigation systems were used as well. Sprinkler irrigation systems as well as irrigation by dripping were used to achieve an efficient irrigation process with the least amount of water possible.
